Tom Brooks

Chairman
Tom Brooks currently serves as the General Manager of Western Dubuque Biodiesel, a 36-million-gallon production facility located in Farley, Iowa owned by 557 local Iowa investors. He has served as their GM/COO for the past 16.5 years. Tom came to the biodiesel industry after 5 years with Perdue Farms, before which he served 9 years active duty as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force in 1984 and 13 years in the Reserves. Tom has twenty-nine plus years’ experience in the refinement and value adding of animal fats and oils, and recently served as a governing board member for the National Biodiesel Board and Member of the IBB (Iowa Biodiesel Board) Governing Board. He also serves as a Board member for the IRFA (Iowa Renewable Fuels Association).

Vice Chairman
Mike Reed
Mike is a successful start-up, turnaround, and growth leader with over 30 years of progressive management experience in midstream, renewable-transition energy, and carbon capture use and sequestration (CCUS). In January 2022, Mike Reed was named CEO of Renewable Biofuels Inc. (RBF), a privately held operating company serving the renewable biofuels market that owns and operates the largest biodiesel production facility in the United States. Located on the US Gulf Coast, RBF produces high-quality, low-carbon, low-cost sustainable biofuels for the domestic transportation market. He's also the founder of Spectrum Midstream LLC, a midstream energy company focused on passive and active investments and consulting in the traditional and transitional energy sector.

Treasurer
Ron Lutovsky
Ron Lutovsky was appointed COO/CFO of Iowa Renewable Energy in August 2012. Prior to that, Ron served in various Senior Management capacities in Accounting, Distribution, Finance, Lean Manufacturing, and Operations for various manufacturing companies, including Cargill, HNI Corporation, and Modine Manufacturing Company. Ron received his Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1995.

Secretary
Patton Collie
Patton Collie currently works as a renewables and carbon trader for Musket Corporation, managing Musket’s renewable diesel business and helping optimize supply for Musket’s parent company, Love’s Travel Stops. He also trades California LCFS for Musket and its sister company Trillium, as well as other regulated (Cap and Trade) and voluntary carbon. Patton received a Bachelor’s of Science in biochemical engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 2017 with a specialty in biochemical processes.

Roy Strom
Roy Strom is the President and CEO of W2Fuel LLC, a producer of biodiesel and other specialty chemicals based in the Great Lakes region that serves customers nation-wide. Roy is an experienced financial manager with an extensive background in manufacturing and retail, and has served in his role with W2Fuel since 2014. Prior to this, he served as the Vice President Finance and Administration for Sheridan Books, and Director of Finance for automotive supplier L&W Engineering's Jaytec Division.

Brad Adams
Brad Adams is a Greenville-based plant manager for Scott Petroleum, Inc., managing all activities at a 20 million-gallon-per-year biodiesel refinery and fuel terminal (gasoline, ethanol, diesel fuel, and JetA), overseeing everything from environment and safety compliance to sale of coproducts to logistics and more. Brad has held his role with Scott Petroleum since 2008 and has spent 25-plus years in quality management and/or production management, with previous experience managing operations at Jesco Resources and Platte Chemical Company.

Jed Smith
Jed Smith currently serves as COO for Rio Valley Biofuels, the first commercial producer of biodiesel in the state of New Mexico, distributing biodiesel blends as well as ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD), gasoline, glycerin, Matter Organic Non-Glycerol (MONG), and feedstocks for biodiesel production throughout the Southwest and into California, Nevada, and Mexico. Jed has over 10 years experience in all aspects of biodiesel manufacturing and distribution, and has managed operations for Rio Valley Biofuels since its founding in 2006. The company has expanded operations to include a 15MGPY biodiesel production facility in El Paso, Texas.

Andrew Davison
Andrew Davison is the co-founder and -owner of Cape Cod Biofuels, Inc. as well as co-owner of Brodeur and Sons, Inc. Launched in 2008 as a small plant, Cape Cod Biofuels now operates its third site, a 12,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art recycling and production facility in Sandwich, Massachusetts, collecting 1,000,000 gallons of local cooking oil annually and recycling it into biodiesel. Andrew is a Graduate of Norwich University the Military College of VT ('94) and a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He has worked previously as a licensed general contractor, a licensed stock broker, and former Firefighter/EMT.

Paul Dickerson
Paul Dickerson is President of Third Coast Commodities. Paul brings nearly 20 years of experience to the Fats, Oils, and Grease business, including sales, marketing, grease collection, and trading. Most recently, he was the Senior UCO trader for one of the industry's top commodity trading companies. While there, he helped manage a book that traded over a billion lbs of fat from 2008 to 2013. In August 2013, he started Third Coast Commodities to bring a new perspective to an older business model. Paul resides in Michigan with his wife, whom he met while attending Georgia Southern University. He is an avid cyclist and voracious reader who also enjoys good food and working on his farm.
Ron Kindred

Ron Kindred from Atlanta, Illinois represents District 9 as a director for the Illinois Soybean Association and is immediate Past Chairman. He farms with his wife, Jayne and son Jay, raising soybeans and corn on 1700 acres. Kindred is a previous director, having served the association for a total of 19 years, including time as vice president, secretary, legislative chairman and participation in several committees. He is past chairman of Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) Soy Pac and a Soy Advocate for ISG’s Voice for Soy program. Kindred also represents Illinois on the American Soybean Association board where he previously served 9 years, 4 on Executive Committee as Vice President and Secretary. He is active with Illinois Farm Bureau, serving 20 years on the Logan County Farm Bureau Board, was on East Lincoln Farmers Grain board for 12 years, serving as President 5 years, and was an Atlanta Township trustee for 12 years.

Kerry Fogarty
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Illinois State University, Kerry began his career in the soybean crushing industry as a laboratory technician for Central Soya. In 1997, he joined the team at Incobrasa Industries in Gilman Illinois. The plant was non-operational when Kerry signed on as the Laboratory Manager. Shortly thereafter, in September of 1997, the plant began crushing soybeans. Since then, Kerry has been part of the continuous expansion of the operations. In 2001, he was placed in charge of the Refinery. In 2003, he was an integral part of the construction and operation of the packaging facility. In 2006, biodiesel became part of the operations. Kerry played a role in this, as well. Throughout the years, Kerry has undertaken the responsibility to obtain and maintain the various EPA permits required for construction and operations. He also developed and maintains the BQ-9000 and food safety programs. Kerry sits on the Board of Directors for the National Oilseed Processors Association.

Chad Gawryliuk
Based in the Houston area, Chad Gawryliuk is Head of Biodiesel at Pilot Company where he has been employed since 2019. Prior to Pilot, Chad traded biofuels for AOT Energy Americas both in Calgary and Houston. With a solid foundation in both the energy and agriculture markets, Chad applies a fundamental approach to market assessment, risk management, and deal structuring. His work ensures reliable access to biofuels and renewables, supports supply chain optimization, and helps his organization navigate the evolving regulatory landscape tied to fuel standards and credits.
